It
took me about 3 months to decide that I wanted a big tire car.
I found a local guy to back half it.

Here
are a few more pictures taken during the back half process.
As you can see I went with steel rather than aluminum panels.
Problem is that steel rusts really fast.

This
is the finished product on the back half. Now I need to lower the
front-end of the car.

Since
the front cap had so much rust on it, I decided to go with a VFN
fiberglass front-end.

I
wanted to drive the car in the Cruising the Coast in
2005,
but hurricane Katrina had a different plan.
All those previous pictures were pre Hurricane
Katrina.
I had about 2-3 feet of salt water in my house and garage.
Yea
that's the Camaro to the left, it got 2 feet of salt water in it.
Also my PT Cruiser in the background got flooded.

More
pictures taken in the months after Katrina. The
camaro took a back burner
as we started to gut our house and
rebuild.
The only thing that kept my
fence from falling was the steel front clip of the Camaro.
We
cooked on that grill for a few months after the storm
That
is our temporarily home in the background. It is our FEMA
trailer.
Thank God and FEMA.
I
just dropped the Camaro off at a local body shop, SISON'S CORVETTES,
to see if the rust from being under salt water could be stopped.
Junior says that a product called Salt X will stop all the rust.
That's
the Camaro on the roll back headed of to the body shop.
Also you can see the rusted metal clip with the fiberglass clip.
I'll update the page as Junior gets some of the body work started.

These
are pictures of the rack and pinion install with coil over shocks.
This is the list of things that I want Junior to do.
