September 1975.
My first car.   Yea the tail lights came off of an old Honda scooter.

This is a later picture of a 67 Camaro that I purchased from a local landlord that had taken the Camaro for  rent money from a group of hippies from Oregon.
It was my third car. We (Gary and I) raced this car on the street and as far as I can remember we never lost.
Gary bought this car when he was fourteen. He raced on of the most notorious raced of our time Rocky Jordan with his big block MOPAR.
The little Camaro's 350 small block over powered the big block and made a mark in history.

My fourth car was a 55 Chevy with a 396 / 4 speed.
My mom took this picture as I was heading off to high school one morning.
We were terrors with this beast.

Breaking the motor in the 55 Chevy I put it on blocks and purchased a Honda motorcycle.
I drove the Honda almost 5 miles and was hit by a car.  I spent the next 14 months in and out of the hospital.
I sold the 55 Chevy for 500 dollars and took on the old family sedan, A 1969 Plymouth Valiant with a 225 hp slant six,
I added the hood scoops from a 340 dart.

Were quite a crew. Left to Right, 1969 Chevelle was Ernie Jordan's, Middle is my 1969 Valiant, far Right is Rob Robinson's 56 Chevy.

I totaled the Valiant out and pulled the newly rebuild 255 slant six out and put it in a 1970 Plymouth Duster.

That is a 454 from a 70 totaled out Chevelle.
I blew up two power glides and eventually put a turbo 400 in out of a pickup.

Usually this was the way Mondays started, after a long weekend of trashing the streets something was always broke.

Seems like the hood was always open.

That's my favorite daughter some 25 years ago.
